Outcome 4.9.180: Red flags- children;

  • Signs severe respiratory distress – tachypnea, increased work of breathing, altered mental state
  • Grunting and/or nasal flaring in infants
  • Stridor at rest
  • Possible inhaled foreign body ‐ Acute onset stridor, hx of contact with small objects
  • Hx of severe asthma
  • Dyspnea and fever
  • Audible wheeze at rest
  • Delayed capillary refill
  • Other co‐morbidities
