Outcome 4.9.121: Red flags;

  • Eye pain
  • Acute visual loss
  • Focal neurological signs
  • Squint in a child >6 months
  • Leucocoria (white pupil) in children
  • High probability intraocular foreign body (i.e. grinder with no eye protection)
  • History of significant or penetrating trauma
  • Herpes Zoster involving V1 branch trigeminal nerve
  • History of Diabetes, HIV infection, systemic illness, hard contact lenses
